Day 1-3
Ho Chi Minh City
Arrive in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC), formerly known as Saigon, and transfer to hotel. For the next two days explore the city including the Reunification Palace, museums, and markets. Full day excursion to the famous Cu Chi tunnels and the great Cao Dai Temple in Tay Ninh; or a boat cruise on the Saigon River to Cu Chi.
Day 4
Da Nang/Hoi An
Morning flight to Da Nang. Explore central Viet Nam including the Cham Museum, Marble Mountain, China Beach and the quaint fishing village of Hoi An.
Day 5
Hue
Travel Highway #1 over the scenic Hai Van Pass to the former royal capital of Hue. Enjoy a cruise on the Perfume River to the Thien Mu Pagoda followed by a cyclo/bicycle ride to the Forbidden City inside the Citadel. Time permitting visit one of the Royal Tombs.
Day 6-7
Ha Noi
Fly to Ha Noi, the capital city of Viet Nam. Discover its highlights including the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and House, the Ethnology Museum, the ancient district of “36 streets and 36 wares” and the renowned Water Puppets. Free day or take an optional excursion to Ha Bac Province, Perfume Pagoda or Hoa Lu.
Day 8
Ha Noi
Depart for home or begin your next Asian excursion.
